The Study Of YUE-Fu Poems On Women's Subject Matter At The Mid-Tang Dynasty

This paper systematically analyses Yue-Fu Poems on women of the Mid-Tang Dynasty. I'll go on analyzing woman's figure in Yue-Fu Poems combining the subjects of approach of description, study of art and literature, science of culture and history etc and using argumentation and comparison with different time's analysis to expound and prove it. According this analysis, the writer hope that study of YUE-Fu Poems of Mid-Tang dynasty can be more thorough and comprehensive.This paper analyzes the YUE-Fu Poems on women's subject matter of the Mid-Tang Dynasty from three aspects:Firstly, there are two typical characteristic about YUE-Fu Poems on women's subject matter of the Mid-Tang dynasty. One content is more extensive than that of before. Some of YUE-Fu poems of Han Dynasty described the woman's love, and some described the woman's miserable life of the lower class. Without reflecting the real life status of weavers and the enlisted men's wives.YUE-Fu Poems of South Dynasty mentioned the business man's wives and prostitute's lives. But lacking of the rural women's life.Only during the Mid-Tang dynasty, the pomes described the overall of the women's life. Most poems more directly reflected the woman's tragic fate. This is a very special and important period in the history of YUE-Fu Poems. The other is that the critique is more deeply. Before Mid-Tang Dynasty, YUE-Fu Poems also exposed the unfair treatment woman encountered, but the degree was not so profound. It changed in Tang-Dynasty. With the social conflicts in the Mid-Tang Dynasty worsening, the style of YUE-Fu Poems was changing in the content and the title making great progress. The poems often got to the roots of the women's hard life.For instance, the poem of Baijuyi criticized the imperial harem system which was less involved before. Secondly, this paper analyzes the character of portraying women's images of the Pomes. At first, the poets of Mid-Tang Dynasty usually chose the typical figure profoundly describing the women's tragedy. Then, the Poems paid more attention to the diversity description skills. They not only narrated the event, but also expressed their own feeling and exposed the social issues. The third, it developed the description's technique of Han dynasty and drew the strong points from the legends of the time. Which was good at describing the figure's appearance, psychology and details. At last, it pursued the popularity in aesthetics. It usually used simple words, particularly with a lot of folk's remark, to write about the women's life. The quantity reached a high degree at that time.Thirdly, The regulation about social culture of Mid-Tang Dynasty are analyzed in this paper and the pomes also display the decline of the national power.a husband with one wife and several concubines was specified, Women was not equal in law and the woman's manner was made clear by feudal ethics. So, there were more and more restriction on women's lives. It also reflects the conflict between the freedom of social customs and the increasing shackles of Feudal ethics towards women, as well as the evil customs of the worship to the illustrious families and the marriages closely hinging on the amount of wealth.This paper analyzes the effects of YUE-Fu Poems on later generations. The decedents inherited and developed the realism spirits of describing the people's suffering and it was developed that on YUE-Fu poems about woman's subject matter with different times.
