In the stage of vocational exploration, college students have to do more More fully, more systematic and more comprehensive vocational exploration, which related to career decision and career maturity in the future. This research focuse on the status of vocational exploration of different groups college students and the effect of family fators on the college student vocational exploration.Based on the previous studies of vocational exploration and its influencing factors at home and abroad,423 undergraduates from five university in Nanjing have been selected to finish the corresponding questionnaires, including Family Function Questionnaire which prepared of our own and Career Exploration Scale. Results were as follows:(1)Family function related with Individual career contains seven factors: problem solution, communication, division of roles, emotional expression, emotional involvement, behavior style, Parents upbringing.(2)The item characteristics of the scale are acceptable and the reliability and validity are reasonable.(3)The vocational exploration of college student is above average. Specifically, the scores of amount of information, target focus and self-exploration are relatively high, while intended-systematic exploration and environment exploration are relatively low.There are significant differences of both gender and grade in vocational exploration totally.(4)In the static factors of family, family economic level, regions students from and if the only child in the family have significant impact on vocational exploration of college students.(5)In the factors of family function, problem solution, emotional involvement, behavior style and vocational exploration have remarkably correlation. Problem solution and behavior style in the family system,plays a positively forecasts role to the college student vocational exploration, but division of roles plays the negative forecast role.
