With the implementation of recruitment system integration in colleges and universities, poverty students has become the very important group which cannot be ignored in the campus of colleges and universities. Compared with ordinary students, poverty students usually confront with some frustrations in campus because of their own special situations. Under certain situations, such as study pressure, personal relationship, financial problems etc, it is easier for them to come into being self-negative, non-acceptable and negative cognitive disposition, and show sensitive and anxious negative psychological tendency. The physical and mental health of poverty students is related with whether they could accomplish their study smoothly and the whole development of their personality, also related with the implementation of colleges and universities education and the development of harmonious society.Based on the former research findings, the author analyzes the current and basis psychological characteristics of poverty students. According to rules of student psychological development and the theory of psychometry, the author edits the psychology adaptation situation investigation form of poverty students, and investigates the frustration mental situation from the individual psychological and emotion point of view. In terms of the investigation results, author obtains the data of emotion adaptive, self-consciousness and self-respect, personal relationship, employment and development, frustration behavior and positive psychological situation of poverty students, processes the analysis research on the main frustration points of poverty students, the physical and mental reactions after frustration events, cognitive structure, imputation mode, social support system, and frustration solutions. Based on the above research, author applies for the theory of cognitive behavior psychology to help poverty students identify illogical thinking method, learn dialectic logic thinking method and the ways to handle with frustration, help them to establish logic cognitive method and positive behavior mode to reduce the frustration experience and improve their anti-frustration ability.This dissertation thinks the poverty brings the poverty students in colleges and universities the comprehensive psychological influences, not only influence their study and life, but also their mental development. It becomes more and more important assistant to bring up the healthy psychology to poverty students. General speaking, the investigation results reflect the mental health situation of my university is good. It shows the remarkable impression that my university pays more attentions to the psychological education for poverty student in recent years, such as the positive and optimistic attitude for their future development, good social adaptive situation and higher emotional control ability. Meanwhile, it also shows that it is quite difficult to change the social and their tough living situation, which poverty students have to confront with. However, establishing the logic cognitive method and positive behavior mode, they could adjust their mentality with the changing of the attitudes of self-cognitive and self-surviving. By using of scientific and effective effort, it could change the negative psychology and behavior of poverty students, and make them develop themselves well like other students, and achieve their personal value.
