The Comparative Study Of Time Adverb "Yizhi","Zongshi","Laoshi"

"一直","总是","老是"is common in modern Chinese time adverb. There are many similarities and differences in semantics, syntax and pragmatics. In this paper, based on previous studies, using comparative analysis, data and statistics, the time adverb"一直","总是","老是"semantics, syntax and pragmatics were analyzed. Paper is divided into five parts, the main contents are as follows:The first part is an introduction, including purpose and significance, scope and object, corpus sources and research methods, such as previous related research.The second part is the semantic analysis of"一直","总是","老是",this part we search the dictionary definition of this three words as the starting point, induction and comparing the similarities and differences between the semantics of three words; through analysis of corpus, Identify the dictionary meaning of these three words define reasonable and unreasonable, an unreasonable interpretation were complemented.The third part is the syntactic analysis of"一直","总是","老是",with the start of the three time adverb choice of VP and AP, fand its semantic features when they modified verbs and adjectives; through the corpus, count and the time components of"一直"sentence,"总是"sentence,"老是''sentence, find out the similarities and differences when used with the time components; the last clarify the similarities and differences when these three adverbs used with negative words.The fourth part is the pragmatic analysis of"一直","总是","老是".from the beginning of the Grice's "Cooperative Principle". And analyez these three words to identify the characteristics of their pragmatics;find out their stylistic similarities and differences through analysis of corpus; from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, to analyezd Subjectivity and Objectivity of the three time adverbs in the pragmatics analysis.Finally, summarized full text the conclusion, point out the shortcomings of this study, and proposes future research directions.
