Globalization has made cross-cultural team more and more prevailing. And due to cultural, educational and main stream value difference, team effectiveness is greatly influenced by all kinds of factors. Also, when conducting team tasks, the different coordination mechanism team members implement will also influence the low or high level of team effectiveness to a great extent.And in cross-cultural management, cultural intelligence is given rising attention. The previous study focuses more on its positive effects on work performance from individual level, that is, one with high level of cultural intelligence will have better performance. And is this conclusion applicable in a team level? Will the team with high level of cultural intelligence perform better; will its member be more satisfied with the team? Besides, in the cross-cultural team, will the different pattern of interaction among members influences work performance? Will implicit coordination have a positive effect on task fulfillment or just the opposite?In order to test the above hypothesis, this study is to find the effects of team level cultural intelligence and team coordination on team effectiveness from the perspective of coordination. By qualitative analyze of interviews, this study wishes to find the coordination mechanism within cross-cultural team. And base on the qualitative study, further research wishes to understand the relationship among cross-cultural team's cultural intelligence, coordination and team effectiveness through quantitative questionnaire analyze. It includes 4 studies:Study 1: To analyze the effects of team cultural intelligence on team effectiveness;Study 2: To analyze the effects of team cultural intelligence on team coordination;Study 3: To analyze the effects of team cultural intelligence, team coordination and team effectiveness;Study 4: To analyze the moderating effects task type to team cultural intelligence and team coordination.And the results show: the positive effect of team cultural intelligence to self-rating team effectiveness is significant, the positive effect of team coordination to team cultural intelligence is significant, the mediating effect of team coordination to team cultural intelligence and self-rating team effectiveness is significant, and the moderating effect of task complexity to team cultural intelligence and team coordination is significant.
