With the rapid development of globalization, the world has been flat and flat in many ways, increasing culture diversity creates challenges for individuals and organizations, making the world'not so flat'after all. With great diversity in the workforce demography, individuals need to work and interact regularly with those who have different cultural backgrounds. Working with people from different cultures can be difficult for individuals and for their organizations because cultural barriers can cause misunderstandings that detract from efficient and effective interactions. It is therefore imorpant to understand why some individuals are more effective than others in dealing with situations that are culturally diverse.Responding to this need, some researchers conceptualized a multifactor concept of cultural intelligence(CQ), which is defined as an individual's capability to deal effectively in situations characterized by cultural diversity. However, there is little research confirmed the effect of culture intelligence on individual performance. At the team level, the goal of a team is to create high efficiency, but actually not all the teams can successfully achieve their goals. Sometimes interactions inside the team may lower team performance, especially in cultural diversity teams. So, which kind of team can create the best performance? Which factors may influence individual performance and team performance in cross-cultural teams? All these questions are great concerns for those cross-culture researchers and managers.Based on former research and results, this study focused on the effects of members'culture intelligence on individual and team performance, it includes 3 studies: Study 1: To analyse the effect of culture intelligence on individual performance from the individual perspective;Study 2: To analyse the effect of culture intelligence and team factors on individual performance from the both individual and team perspective;Study 3: To analse the effect of culture intelligence of the team on team performance from the team perspective. In conclusion, results of this study demonstrate that culture intelligence significantly affects individual performance, at the team level relation conflict and education heterogeneity strengthen the effect of culture intelligence on individual performance, and that culture intelligence of a team also significantly affects the team's performance, and in this process team communication functions as a mediator.
