Mao Zedong's strategy of liberating Tibet peacefully is an important part of Mao Zedong Thought, also the collective wisdom of the Chinese Communist Party.During the process of the peaceful liberation of Tibet,the first generation of central collective leadership with Mao Zedong at the core, from the fundamental interests of the Chinese nation,including the Tibetan people,unify the Marxism with the concrete reality of Tibet, creatively formulate and implemente the policy of"liberating Tibet peacefully",which has demonstrated the remarkable political wisdom and the broad political mind.Mao Zedong made the strategic decision of liberating Tibet timely,decisively pointed out that "marching into Tibet should sooner rather than later" ,and guide the establishment of the policy of "peaceful liberation of Tibet". Under the guidance of this principle, CPC had made various efforts for the peaceful liberation of Tibet.However, the Tibetan separatists ignored the peaceful sincerity of the Party Central Committee and closed the door of peaceful negotiations. The Chinese People's Liberation Army was forced to implement Changdu campaign, but Central Committee did not give up the efforts of liberating Tibet peacefully, continue to strive for the peaceful liberation of Tibet. Then, the Central People's Government and the Local government of Tibet signed "17-Artical Agreement"on the basis of equality and consultation. Subsequently, Maozedong issued the instructions of marching into Tibet.People's Liberation Army marched into Tibet peacefully according to the given deployment of "marching into the heart of Tibet multi-channelly",and put the five-star red flag on the Himalayas.The peaceful liberation of Tibet in 1951, is the glorious practice of Chinese communists that represented by Mao Zedong solve domestic national problems with the creative application of Marxism,which has impotant guiding significance to the long-term stability of contemporary Tibet and its leapfrogging development.
