Research On Lin Yutang's Media Ideas In 1930s

Lin Yu tang is a famous activist in Chinese media history more than a writer in the field of literature. In the 1930's , his thought in the media industry changed from old fashion of critics who acts quickly without giving it a little thought to modern practice which focuses on the human needs in the form of essays. Later on ,he came out with several great books ,that made positive impact on the media industry.This article was first conducted based on literature review and came out with the topic of the research,"methods and ideas,"Then, the article illustrate his main activities in 1930's of his background and the evolution of his ideas. Based on his religious and multi-cultural background, made him a productive writer, but because of the unstable social evolvement made him changed. The article explains his thought on freedom of speech, press features, concept of censorship, indoctrination functions, business concepts. Taking into historical consideration, he should be given a credit about his books and restored the truth for his ideas in order to rebuild his position in the media industry.
