The color word in natural languages is a kind of color perception fixed in the language with natural expression. There are many words to record colors in language all over the world. Color symbolization and color word symbolization are significant symbolic phenomena in different cultures. Because of the different historical and cultural background in different nations and countries, the same color contains different symbolic meanings. On account of historical reasons, there exist same and different points in Chinese and Korean cultures. These differences reflect in color words.This study selects the most typical examples in Chinese and Korean color word sand contrasts the five color symbolizations(red,yellow,green,white and black)and five color word symbolizations("红/(?)(?)","黄/((?))","绿/((?))","白/(?)(?)","黑/(?)(?)") . By means of this comparison, we can understand the differences,social style and cultural psychology in Chinese and Korean culture.The main meaning of the color words in Chinese and Korean languages is similar, but the symbolic meanings are different because of some cultural and environmental factors. The symbolization of the colors and color words in Chinese has strong mysterious meanings, and it is also related with Chinese universe sense and Five Element Theory. A lot of symbolic meanings in Korean is equal to that in Chinese as Chinese and Korean languages belong to the same cultural circle. However, because of the unique traits in Korean nation and being affected by western cultures, there exist different parts in symbolic meaning in the two languages. By means of the deep analysis of the color words in Chinese and Korean, this study analyses the same and different parts of the color words in the two languages.
