As an important part of the translation of public signs, the translation of public signs in tourist areas or sites is a reflection of the international image of a city. But at present, mistranslation of public signs in tourist areas or sites can be found everywhere.On the basis of massive examples, this thesis classifies and analyses the mistranslation. Further more, the thesis puts forward that the Skopos Theory could be the theoretical guidance of this translation, and advises some translation strategies as well. |
