The Research On The Application Of Chinese Folk Paper-cut Art In The Sculputure Creation

With the return of traditional arts, as a unique art resource, folk art of paper-cut has been mined and used by the artists, and widely used in modern art field to create a lot of good works with national characteristics. As the increasing development of the current sculpture art is concerned, the theory of the use of folk paper-cut in sculpture is relatively backward, not yet forms a systematic theoretical framework.Chinese folk paper-cut has a unique language and forms of expression, and puts forward a certain impact on sculpture. In this paper, the author uses such methods as literature research, work analysis, field survey to study the relationship between the two specific research. Through the analysis of aesthetic characteristics of folk paper cutting, the paper concludes that the Chinese folk paper-cut has some aesthetic implications of decorative, imagery, diversity, planarity, etc. And pointing out that it can be used in animation, fashion, advertising, ceramics, and other specific areas of rational use of arts. This paper also analyzes the theoretical basis and value of the intervention of paper-cut in sculpture creation. Then the author analyzes the specific performance of the use of folk paper-cut in the sculpture creation based on creative practice.The paper selects the performance of folk paper-cut art in specific field as the breakthrough point, through the comparison study between the folk paper-cut and traditional sculpture, concludes that there exist some similarities, clear internal relationship and inheritance between the two, mainly in the theme, style, creative thinking, etc. And it's the basis for the intervention of folk paper-cut in sculptor. Moreover, the paper summarizes the specific application rules for the use of the folk paper-cut symbols in sculpture, for example, using silhouette symbol of expression in sculpture to provide a reference for the sculptors to explore the planarity of space, so that the sculptors are no longer simply purse of three-dimensional nature. Deconstructing and refining the image shape of folk paper-cut, and combining modern sculpture creation idea with expression means to enrich the connotation of sculpture. Analyzing the form of Chinese paper-cut to further strengthen the exploration of sculpture and performance of text.
