For a long time,paper cutting elements in packaging design occur frequently and there are many excellent design works.But its application in the special local product packaging is always lack of originality,there has been a great shortage,such as direct copy traditional folk paper-cut,abuse of the traditional elements and a similiar expression.Although it can display the beauty of folk paper-cut art in a certain extent,but unable to show the characteristics of native products and the cultural charm of the brand and unable to make the product stand out.This topic based on the redesign research about Chinese folk paper-cut in native products packaging.And focus on combine folk paper-cut redesign with local products packaging properties and brand characteristics.The paper is based on Chinese folk paper-cut and special local product research,then,interpret the development of folk paper-cut and its' form,performance techniques,and profiles the present situation of the local products packaging;to discuss the redesign method of paper-cut in local products packaging,at the sane time,proposes three principles:communication,innovation,moderate,and figure out how to combine the brand culture and product features to redesign the folk paper-cut;Finally through the research of the Chaozhou paper-cut art characteristic and the present situation of the wife cake,take the Chaozhou wife cake series packaging design practice as an example,further demonstration of Chinese folk paper-cut in local products packaging design method.In short,this topic has important significance in modern native products packaging design.Through the redesign of the folk paper-cut,not only to carry forward and develop the folk paper-cut art,but also make people refocus on its unique cultural charm,so as to protect the folk paper-cut art,and promote the spread of native products of the brand at the same time,the native products packaging can fully show its unique artistic charm and deep cultural inside information and rich visual language of packaging design.
