Having a better understanding of the "Lecture Room" phenomenon triggered by the TV program "Lecture Room" is not only about the program itself, or the disciplinary boundaries of the communication media. Therefore, this phenomenon should be analyzed from the relationship between culture and communication as well as social development. In that case, we can have a clearer idea that how the TV media works in the tradiotional media by taking a closer look at the deep-seated cultural and social logic factors.In this study, combined with the social transition consumer demand and popular culture and spiritual values of confusion, the author took the TV program "Lecture Room" and "Lecture Room" phenomenon as an example and discussed the issuse of "how television media makes a difference in the traditional media culture".Specifically, this study first stated systematicaly the founding process of the "Lecture Room" program, and the way of lecturing, as well as the communication strategies. On the basis of that, it analyzed the roles of the TV media in the traditional cultural transmission and reproduction. Finally, this paper proposed some targeted measures, such as the elite of popular culture, TV culture, brand operation, and so on, to the problems in the development of traditional media in this information era.As an Ideological and cultural TV program, "Lecture Room" is a combination of the TV media and traditional culture as well as the intellectual elite and the public. It takes the perspective of ordinary people, using plain language to interprate theoretical ideas.However, as the rigid rule of "ratings"carried out, this program focused too much on the external presentation skills, while ignores the cultural heritage of the content. Thus, we can neither simply take an academic perspective, nor abandon the social responsibility of representing traditional culture while analyzing the "Lecture Room". Moreover, it is need to be further explored that the clearifing of the type of this TV program, and different needs of different audience, as well as the balance of cultural responsibility and commercial interests.
