A Study On The Application Of The "LIUSHU" Theories To Teaching Of Chinese Characters To Foreigners

Over the years, in teaching chines as second language, teaching and learning of Chinese characters has always been a difficult term in Teaching Chinese as a second Language. Foreign students are familiar with phonetic characters. They look Chinese characters as a beautiful picture. They look Chinese character study as dangerous road. Chinese characters are difficult to learn, which has become the development bottleneck for Chinese language abilities of the foreigners.This paper focuses on the traditional "Six-book" theory and the study of modern Chinese teaching, indicating that "Six-book" theory playing important roll in the modern Chinese teaching. The paper makes point that "Six-book" theory should be applied to the actual teaching of modern Chines characters' form, sound, and meaning.The thesis includes six chapters.Chapter one integrates various researchs, summarize the traditional "Six-book" theory. The point has been made. The "Six-book" theory has been two thousand years of history. In two thousand years it has been continuously improved. Chinese characters has been transformed into modern Chinese characters from Oracle and some part of "six-book" are not suitable for modern Chinese characters teaching. We can simplify them appropriately make it be suitable for modern Chinese teaching.Chapter two summarize the traditional "six-book" theory.Chapter three is an overview of the teaching of foreign characters. Focuses primarily on the characteristics of the teaching of foreign characters and the main method of teaching.Chapter four discusses the relations between "six-book" theory and Chinese characters teaching.
