Starting from epoch background,this research considers that college English differertiating instruction is the effective mode,which conforms to the national ministry of education policy,and this mode can teach different students in accordence with their different aptitudes, cultivateing some excellent students to meet the needs of society. The search analyzes the theoretical foundation of college English differentiating instruction from the different directions.These theories aslo establish the solid basis for the implementation and promotion for this teaching mode. Under such background,the writer focuses on the foundation of this mode and the problems which exist, and aslo bring up the effective manipulation of the mode, taking a private higher education institution carrying out college English differentiating instruction as a case.The paper consists of the following five parts:Chapter one, this part expounds the background of study, including the research history and present of college English differentiating instructions at home and aborad.
