| As one of hot topics in the curriculum reform, the development and using of curriculum resources is being paid much attention by all teachers. However, it is not true of the development and utilization of students'resources. The thesis studying the development and utilization of students'resources aims at providing references for English teaching in vocational colleges. By investigating the front-line English teachers of vocational colleges, the author finds that most teachers have realized students'resources are an important part of curriculum resources. What's more, the development and utilization of students'resources is not only significant for the teachers'and students'development, but also of great importance for the reform of College English in vocational colleges. However, the survey reveals that the actual development and utilization rate of students' resources is lower than that of what teachers realize in the developing and utilizing of students'resources.Therefore, many documents and facts prove that there is still much room for the improvement of theoretical researches and specific methods in developing and utilizing students'resources. Based on the above survey and theories of developing and utilizing students'resources, the author gets the method of developing and utilizing students' resources.In the practical part, on the basis of research contents, the author applies the method of developing and utilizing students'resources to the class she teaches. The results show that the method plays a positive role in changing students'learning attitude and the classroom atmosphere. There is, however, some dissatisfaction because of the short experimental time.Meanwhile, teaching practices of developing and utilizing students' resources promote not only the development of students, but also the harmonious relationship between teachers and students. It also keeps the advancement of teacher concepts and improves teachers' researching level as well as their professional qualities. |
