Ladies'Journal was firstly published at the Commercial Press on January 15, 1915. It was ceased in December of 1931. It lasted 17 years and its contents are rich. It recorded that how women were enlightened and the modern evolution of women themselves in the period of Republic of China. This paper focused on the Ladies'Journal from 1915 to 1920 and tried to find out what sentiments the people had when they described women and how they put women into the construction of the new country in that time.This paper studied the magazine from three parts. Firstly, with listing and analyzing in narrative works, it appears people were anxiety or wanted to be far away from the real world because of morals'lost on men and the decline of national power. Secondly, from the narrative works, we can find three types of ideal women were created to satisfy the requirement of new country. One was adapted to the wartime. The second one was adapted to modern life as wife and mother. The last one was ideal female student. Thirdly, the article focused on the discourses of the Ladies'Journal of the 1910s. From these discourses, we can see, in spite of holding different views of women, men established their authority of speeches of women based on blaming women's shortcomings. We also see that women consciously participated in the construction of nation-state with the compliant words expression.
