The penalty of Qin had unique features in the warring states period. The features were reflected both in the Qin penal system and the punishment of the macro-implementation, and also in the social impact of the penalty. Qin penal system was numerous and varied. The death penalty and corporal punishment constituted the main body of the state of Qin. When Shang Yang was in power, Qin well punished according to law and legally enforceable penalties. However, Qin emerged from the implementation of the penalty"heavy punishment must"to"heavy criminal abuse"of the change in the end. Qin penalty had a profound impact on its society. First of all, the penalty caused tremendous damage to Qin people, especially in the process of the formation and destruction to Qin"rule of law". Second,"harsh criminal injuries to the people"based on the harsh penalty, Qin once had a temporary good social order. Finally, the penalty of Qin had a profound impact on the human nature and social climate of Qin.
