Paul Sartre had been the greatest philosopher of the West's greatest in whole twentieth century, the spirit of freedom and humanitarian which had been advocated by his Existentialism Philosophy was the heal trauma medicine to all the humen whose spirit had been hurt by the World War. In the field of philosophy, he started from the phenomenological view, to give the freedom to humen themselves. Freedom is the only nature of humenbeings, the human's consciousness are not only reflect the world passively, it can negative and go beyond the true world. Therefore, Sartre puts"imagination"to the top in the Aesthetics field, and he generalize four features of imagination intentionality, false appearance, negativity and spontaneity, to differentiate the imagination and feeling. Following, he begins to show every view of Aesthetics. He first negatives the beauty in real world and society, and he emphasizes the beauty is only existing in field of art. The artists and appreciators can get the feeling of beauty only by imaging, and there is the enjoyment of beauty only in people's imagination world.It can be said the Sartre's view of freedom and imagination are never built on the real world, but it doesn't mean that his thought is far from reality. In fact, he was so brave to improve his own theory, and he became to take part in the real social life with his literatures, to negative, surpass and improve the real society. In this article, we will try to find out what is the true meaning of imagination, in order to discover Sartre's world of thought which is filled with Philosophy, Aesthetics, Arts, Literature and the theory of intervention. By this we will also realize a real man called Sartre.
