| With the launch of nation-wide college enrollment scale expension policy in 1999, a great change has taken place in the field of modern art college education in China. Not only the scale of space and student number have been expanded in those traditional modern art college and institution, but also the department of Fine Art has been set up in a number of colleges that have no such department before. As a result, the number of institutions for modern art education in China has increased substantially. Thanks to the college enrollment scale expension policy,more students have been enrolled in college and colleges have also gained ecnomical benefits from that. The colleges and institutions of Fine Arts had cultivated the necessary amount of of high quality professionals. With the saturated and changed demand for arts professionals, the competition among colleges of Fine Arts is unavoidable and the capacity among colleges starts to vary. Relying on the traditional ranking and more art resources, the Specialized Fine arts academy and the arts departments in the key comprehensive universities have taken more advantage in the competition. On the contary, the local common colleges and institutions of Fine Arts become less competitive in terms of students resoure, teaching skills and graduate employment. The future of those colleges are anxious. Having the two identities of both graduate from the key university and teacher of the local common college of Fine Arts and with a vavid understanding of the art education in China, I try to have a deep reconsideration on the teaching of The Foundation Year Programme for Fine Arts Specialty in the common college and put forward the existing problems from the perspective of Foundation programme teaching. Applying to the Historical research and literature analysis methology, this article reconsiders the concept and the methods of The Foundation Year Programme for Fine Arts Specialty in the common college in micrao level in order to seek more attentions from the whole society for the healthy growth of the art education of the Fine Arts Specialty in the common colleges. Started from the social phenomenon and personal experience, the article points out the existing problems in the education of the Fine Arts Specialty in the common colleges. Afterwards, it analizes the root causes from the view of art education history and finally comes to the conclusion. |
