Listening skills are basic for those foreign language learners, while listening class is an essential part of language learning. Scholars have explored the methods of listening teaching for decades. They achieved a lot, and of course, there is still a long way to go. My paper is based the perspective of the teacher talk, trying to help teachers determine how to speak in class would be more effective, and which words should be avoided.The paper is divided into following five parts:The first chapter is the introduction part. Including three sections: the reason of the study; the introduction of current research of listening and discourse analyze and the study design.The second chapter is the theoretical basis which concerning the basic concepts and characteristics of the discourse analysis (mainly about the teacher talk) and the turn.The third chapter contains the statistical data which involves the amount of teacher talk, speed, questions and feedbacks. These four aspects are quantitative data, the results presented in tabular form.The fourth chapter is the analysis of research data. This part of the results is by ways of classification and examples. The study also involves the amount of teacher talk, speed, questions and feedback.The fifth chapter contains suggestions. In this chapter, to correct those shortcomings of the amount of teacher talk, speed, questions and feedback, Suggestions are proposed respectively.In this paper, a large number of transcriptions are based on real corpus of teachers'talk of foreign language classes. I believed that the results and suggestions would be helpful to those teachers who teach listening classes.
