An excellent spoken textbook can develop the learners'communicative ability effectively. It is extremely significant for spoken courses of Teaching Chinese as a foreign language (TCFL) to compile spoken textbook based on Chinese cultural topics. Based on common compilation principles, this thesis summarizes some specific principles specially used for the primary spoken textbook of TCFL combined with Chinese traditional festivals. In addition, this paper puts forward some suggestions on compiling textbook styles and learner activities aiming to contribute a little to the compilation of TCFL spoken textbook.The whole thesis is constituted by five chapters. Chapter I clarifies the meaning of the subject and the object of study. This chapter also summarizes the historical reviews and status quo about this thesis, meanwhile introducing content and study strategies and creates new thoughts as well as some possible deficiencies. Chapter II studies textbook compilation criterions and defines the specific criterions suitable for this thesis through summary. Chapter III mainly centers on the relationship between culture infiltration and TCFL. By adopting subject on the basis of interest, universality and tendency, it clarifies the subject of this essay focuses on Chinese traditional festivals. Chapter IV brings forward some suggestions about compiling textbooks on this thesis from aspects of textbook style, content, exercise and activities, proposing how to compile this textbook. Chapter V, conclusion, concludes the realistic significance and there likely being some deficiencies.This essay is designed to offer some inspirations to the spoken textbook compilation of TCFL and can be of much value to research and develop this textbook. Furthermore, this essay is expected to function as a modest spur to induce more counterparts to come forward with further study into this topic.
