With the development of economic globalization, the business correspondence plays an increasingly important role in the international economic activities, which highlights the importance of the business correspondence translation. The business correspondence is definitely influenced by the trade both sides" culture in the international business. However, the cultural context by far has not been applied to the business correspondence translation systematically. This thesis analyzes how to deliver the original information of the Chinese business correspondence to the target readers in the English-speaking countries accurately and promptly on the basis of the different thinking modes, politeness values and semantic associations under the different cultural contexts. Based on the analysis of the examples of the business correspondence C-E translation, the thesis discusses the domesticating translation principle, which means adjusting the structure of the discourse, wording and semantics by following the addressee's thinking modes, politeness values and semantic association. Under the direction of this principle, the thesis explores the C-E translation strategies of the business correspondence:recasting, reversing, omission, perspective change, simplification and adaptation. The application of the cultural context to the business correspondence translation not only introduces a new study angle but also provides some new translation strategies under the cultural context. So it is of vital significance to the business correspondence translation.
