Guo Baicang, whose given name is Jian Qiu and Qing Lang, and who styled himself as Dan Wu Xuan Old Man in Hou Guan County. He is a famous bibliophile of Fuzhou in the Qing Dynasty and an accomplished philologist, scholar and poet in our country. His main books contain "The Poem of Bu Jiao Mountain House " "The Poem of E Fu Cottage" "The Poem of San Feng Cottage" "The Poem of Qin Quan Mountain House " "The Poem of Liu Mei Small Pavilion ". His monograph of literature arrangement contains "The Poetic biography of Fujian in the Ming Dynasty". This book which contains 945 Fujian poets in the Ming dynasty collects the poems and biographies of every poet, and values selected poems and biographies. It has an important contribution to preserve and spread the local literature and provide reliable information of document reference for research on the development of Fujian literature in Ming dynasty. It includes "Liu Mei Poetic biography" with detailed and extensive research, which can reflect Guo Baicang's rigorous academic attitude. As the objective for research in this paper, each chapter studies Guo Baicang's life and writings, writing process, compiling style, citing literature, poetic thought and its value and characteristic of literature.
