The Research On Yang Rong’s Poems And Articles

Yang Rong is one of the representative figures of the Cabinet style in the Ming Dynasty. However, the more political than literary characteristics of Cabinet style have long failed to comprehensively, objectively evaluate its literary achievements in academic circles. Therefore, this paper takes his poems and articles as the research object. Firstly, this paper examines the Hongnong Yang’s glorious family history and studious family style’s influence on Yang Rong and discuss his political, military, collection of books and literary achievements. Also differentiate three version of Yang Wenmin Gong Ji. Secondly, this paper discusses Yang Rong’s Confucianism, especially neo-confucianism of cheng-zhu influence on the praise world doctrine,utilitarianism and simple doctrine literature view. Thirdly, this paper discusses Yang Rong’s poems and article creation. The poetry theme in order to praising world and farewell as the main content. The genre of his works has many long seven poems, song form with five character ancient verse that can describe prosperity weather. The style of the works has graceful and poised and beauty of elegant.His article learn from Ou Yangxiu and his poetry learn from Tao Yuanming. In addition, Yang Rong works involve humanity and region of Fujian province that is an important part of Fujian regional literature. Finally, by ranking grade and literary influence comparison of "Three Yang", and analysing value of literature and historiography of Yang Rong’s works, I hope this paper can more accurate judgement of his position in the Cabinet style. This paper has four appendixs. The first is Revise and supplement On Jiajing thirty-one years (1552) governor of Fujian province named Zeng Pei’s blue printed four-volume Grand Tutor Yang Wenmin Chronicle in Ming Dynasty which is rare in mainland China. I corrected eight mistakes and supplement ten missings of senior. The second is his family pedigree chart. In this way, I can try to more detailed understanding of family life and in order to understand his works.The third is compiling Yang Rong’s works.The last is some related photos.
