From 1927 to 1937, there is a kind of cooperation and confrontation between Sichuan warlords and the Kuomintang or the Communist Party. In 1926-1927's revolution, Sichuan warlords changed their flags, and tried their own best to correspond the KMT's left and right conflict. The CPC Sichuan party organization controlled the KMT's left in Sichuan province, making the KMT's left and right conflicts having a practical significance. The KMT had obtained national leadership positions, but most of the time, Nanking, as the central government of China, had no decrees to care Sichuan. Sichuan warlords had being the more frequent civil war, the greater the war play ambition and desire to inflation. With the help of Chiang Kai-shek, Liuxiang defeated Leuwenhoek ultimately. Meanwhile, the CPC Sichuan party organization hold armed riots to damage the interests of the warlords. Harsh crackdown cut down the strength of the CPC Sichuan party, and the CPC Sichuan party had no strength to make trouble in most of time. The Red Army visited into Sichuan, and suffered the attacking of Sichuan warlords. With their own strength, Sichuan warlords couldn't handle the Red Army, and they had to invite the KMT's army to Sichuan. With the help of KMT's army, Liuxiang broke defense area systems, and got unified Sichuan politics. But the central and local conflicts of interests made Liuxiang turning against the KMT...
