It has been more than four hundred years since Violin artistry begins.During this period,there were a number of schools which have different musical styles and performance characteristics.They impacted the development of violin differently.The French-Belgian School is a combination of the French School,which is delicate and graceful,and the Belgian School,which is derived from the French.The Belgian School is remarkable for its passion and manly manner. As one of the important schools of violin performance in the 19th century,The French-Belgian School produced many famous violinists and educators.In addition,there were a lot of works with unique styles and high artisitic values.This article is about to describe the French-Belgian School's general situation in details,as well as the style and representatives.It also makes all-around comparison and analysis with the French-Belgian School and other schools.What's more,it discusses about the influence on the violin performance,especially Chinese violin artistry,which has not only theoretical but also practical significance.
