Military and foreign policy are the most important means to achieve national strategy which often are the focus of the study of international relations. In this paper, I choose a period of 1920s to organize the British military strategy and the European policy in the"era of peace". After the First World War, the British strategic thinking has undergone tremendous change and led to Military strategy subject to the"Ten-year Rule". European Policy hovers between tradition and reality in 20s. Benefit from a favorable international environment, the contraction of the British military and European policy in 20s did not have a direct negative impact. This kind of good feeling on the policy makers also enhances the strategic thinking of the UK's limitations. However, when the international situation become increasing tense under the threat of fascism in 30s, the British formation of the inertia of the strategic thinking since 20s eventually changed into the known"appeasement policy".
