Study On Chinese Character Representation In Modern Poster Design

In present, as the development of creative element diversity, Chinese characters as a new design element are more frequently applied to the poster creativity. But, the abuse and improper imitation are causing the wrong trends in Chinese character poster design, which destroy the culture embodied by Chinese characters. The designers now focus on how to make good use of these excellent traditional Chinese characters in posters.In this article, through studies on modern Chinese characters'visual representation application to posters design and taking outstanding designers'works, I analyze the connection between Chinese characters design and poster creativities, describe the important impact Chinese characters made on poster design and advise how to make more excellent works.
