In the field of Contrastive Linguistics, there are a lot of papers about the contrastive study on Chinese and English attributes. However, few people links systematically contrastive study on Chinese and English attributes to the interactive translation of them. To make up, this paper relates them deeply together and applies the former to the latter. The whole paper is composed of three parts. The first part is the preface which summarizes the history and actualities as well as the existing problems of the contrastive study on Chinese and English, sets forth the way used and the importance of the study, and makes a brief statement on the references. The second part is the main body consisting of the first and the second chapters. The first chapter is the contrastive study on Chinese and English attributes. The study is operated from three dimensions, i.e. the grammatical elements acting as attributes, the categories of attributes and the position of attributes. The sameness and differences gotten from the study are directive to the following chapter. The second chapter is the interactive translation of Chinese and English attributes. The statement is based on three factors, i.e. the grammatical elements acting as attributes, the position of attributes and attributive clauses. The last part is the summarization which points out what the paper lacks and expresses my interest in further study on relative issues.Because the main body is about the contrastive study on Chinese and English attributes and the interactive translation of them that need plenty of proofs, there are a lot of Chinese and English examples in the paper, which is also seen as the specialty of the paper.
