The concept of "Hidden curriculum" has been a hot issue of the study of curriculum theory since it was introduced into China in the 1980s. As an important part of the school education and the necessary complement to the explicit curriculum, the hidden curriculum will gradually influence the cultivation of students'motivation, emotion, attitude, values and interest in learning in an indirect and implicit way.Currently, the study on the hidden curriculum of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is relatively insufficient. In general, most of the studies focus on the theory, but not on the real teaching practice. And they lack of the empirical research based on the teaching practice and the actual demand of the students. In the form of questionnaire, this paper intends to study and analyze the elements of hidden curriculum existing in the class. Under the guidance of relevant theory of the study, this paper tries to find out the elements of hidden curriculum that do not consist with the actual demands of foreign students. Meanwhile, some specific advice and methods will be put forward.The paper consists of five chapters:Chapter one is introduction part. This chapter deals with the concept of hidden curriculum, research background and current situation of the study on hidden curriculum in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Chapter two is the review of the previous studies on hidden curriculum. This chapter summarizes the present studies on the definitions, features, functions and roles of hidden curriculum, and explains the practical significance of this study indirectly. Chapter three is survey and study part, which introduces the structure of the questionnaire and the details of the survey. Chapter four is the analysis of the result. It analyzes the collected data from four aspects:after-school activities, study hours, learning environment and attendance. The elements of hidden curriculum inconsistent with the actual demands of the students will be dealt with at the same time. In the conclusion part, some useful advice will be offered on the basis of study results and the relevant theories. At the ending of the paper, shortcomings and weaknesses of the study will be summarized.
