This thesis mainly study on Israel's national security strategy during the Middle East War in 1948—1977 by means of constructing analytical framework of contemporary western realism theory in international politics field. The purpose of the study is to explore the system and operation mechanism of Israel's national security strategy,to discover the impact of the Israeli national security strategy on the Middle East International Politics and the relationship of Arab and Israel. The core task of the thesis is to find the interaction between Israeli national security strategy and the development of Jewish state,to research the inherent rules of the historical evolution of Israel which have been developing from weak to strong since 1948.The introduction mainly discusses the research value, the domestic and foreign research summary, the innovation and difficulty of research. The first chapter is the theoretical analysis. This part mainly researches on the basic principle and operation mechanism of the national security strategy from the perspective of national security, and discusses why realism theory is used as an analytical tool in this thesis. The second chapter discusses Israeli strategic culture which is mainly composed of Jewish religious culture. This part deeply explores the historical influence of the Jewish religious culture on Israel's national security strategy, and tries to find the profound answer for the formation and development of Israel's national security strategy from the ideological and cultural fields. The third chapter and the fourth chapter are the core part of the thesis. The architecture of the system is composed of the vertical historical context and the horizontal micro policy analysis:The former is mainly based on the history of the Middle East War in 1948—1977 between Israel and Arab.Taking the war of 1967 as a watershed, this paper divides the development process of Israel's national security strategy into two stages:Israel's national security strategy can be called "survival strategy" in 1948-1967,its main character is to protect the "right to life" at all costs;Israel's national security strategy can be called"containment strategy" in 1968-1977,its main feature is to stubbornly occupy the territory of Arabia, which can creating a "safety boundary" for Israel's security. The latter is based on six political and security dimensions which is mainly composed of diplomatic strategy, national defense strategy, domestic regime security, nuclear plan, immigration policy for occupied territory and military security strategy in the conflict of Israel Palestine. The above research could provide some supports of positivism to the historical evolution of Israeli state security strategy in 1948-1977.The last part is the conclusion which is mainly based on the following four viewpoints:1.The ideological and cultural core of Israeli national security strategy is about the basic concept of value of national and state in Jewish religious culture. This value has a significant impact on Israel's strategic choices in terms of national security.2.Israel's national security strategy has a bright color of "power politics",its national development achievements are based on the infringement of the rights and interests of Arabia nationality since 1948.3.Israel had attacked on the Arabia extreme nationalism and violent terrorism in the military during 1960s and 1970s,which objectively played a positive role for deterring the spread of terrorism in the world.4.Israel's national security strategy is the product of the Jewish history and the reality of international politics of the Middle East.Israel's national security strategy has played a positive role in the rise of Israel.
