The communication and collision between traditional and modern design produce a unique design-flexible functionalism. Because of its popular, family-oriented, the modernization of traditional crafts, local geographical nationalization, and the simplicity of the design features swept the globe. The essences of the doctrine of flexible function are the simple, natural design styles, the democratization of design ideal, humanized design experiences. It also brings a warm and comfortable at-home feeling, democracy, equality and freedom of life-pursuing, high-quality comfortable sense. People truly feel Scandinavia and the geographical features of the local culture, and the respect for nature and love of the green-friendly design. Thus, though the style characteristics of the research summary and analysis of IKEA chairs, providing a guiding methodology and thinking for the formation of modern Chinese design style is the value of this research.
