Comparative Study On Sun Zhongshan's And Mao Zedong's Philosophical Thoughts

Philosophy is the methodology of theory and system. It reveals the most general rules of the universe, the essence of peoples' thoughts and the development of human society. Philosophy is the core and soul of culture, and it is also the essence of the era. The history of human civilization shows that philosophy ever significantly promoted the social development.The history of Chinese civilization with5,000years shows that lots of Chinese philosophers ever devoted all their lives to constantly study the rules of the universe and human life,not only in theory but also in practice. They created brilliant Chinese philosophy, which consisted of Xian Qin Zi Xue, Liang Han Jing Xue,Wei Jin Xuan Xue,Sui Tang Fo Xue, Song Ming Li Xue and Qing Dai Shi Xue. In modem times, there are two famous men who are Sun Zhongshan and Mao Zedong. In order to guide Chinese revolution, they created respectively their philosophy systems, which effectively promoted Chinese revolution and the continuous development of construction.Philosophy consists of three elements:ontology, epistemology and the rules of the development of human society. Therefore, this article comparatively studies Sun Zhongshan's and Mao Zedong's philosophy thoughts. They have3similar views which are as follows. They all think that the nature of the world is matter. Knowledge originates from practice. They all pay great attention to economic construction, elevateing the productivity and improving people's life. However, they have many differences which are as follows:In general,Sun Zhongshan's philosophical thoughts belongs to mechanical materialism philosophy with dialectics. It is the predecessor of dialectical materialism philosophy. But Mao Zedong's philosophical thoughts belongs to dialectical materialism philosophy. About the rules of human society,Sun Zhongshan's philosophical thoughts belongs to historical idealism. Mao Zedong's philosophical thoughts belongs to historical materialism. Sun Zhongshan's philosophical thoughts are the top achievement among the bourgeoisies in modern times. And it reflect the development of human society, it cleared up some obstacles of traditional conservative idealism thoughts for Marxism Philosophy. In the meantime it promoted the formation and development of Mao Zedong's philosophy system.On the basis of comparative studies on Sun Zhongshan's and Mao Zedong's philosophy system. The article studies the cause of the similarities and differences between their philosophy from the features of The Times, class and the theoretical sources. Furthermore, On the basis of the whole Chinese philosophy, This article tentatively put forward the term Gong He Min Xue to sum up their philosophy system. It is created by Sun Zhongshan and Mao Zedong,which reveals the main feature of Chinese philosophy in the modem times. Therefor, the whole Chinese philosophy consistes of Xianqin Zi xue, Lianghan Jingxue,Weijin Xuanxue,Suitang Foxue,Songming Lixue, Qingdai Shixue and Gonghe Minxue. On one hand, Gong He Min Xue shows the importance of Sun Zhongshan's and Mao Zedong's philosophy system in Chinese philosophy in theory. On the othe hand, This article tells us that their philosophical thoughts can promote the development of relations between Chinese mainland and taiwan, and it is still so important in contemporary society in practice.
