For the Chinese audience, the sketch is not only a type of program, but also a representative of cultural values.This paper will take the core of the sketch——the setting of character image as the object to discuss the cultural value orientation of CCTV Spring Festival Gala comedy sketch.Through the quantitative analysis and comparative analysis which the main methods of content analysis, this paper will use three dimension to do the research:the gender dimension, the class dimension and the regional distribution of dimension.Through the study, the writer found that the Spring Festival Gala comedy sketch is a form of art that is male dominated, and is extremely uneven and equality in class and regional cultural distribution. To the Spring Festival Gala or the national mainstream cultural values, It did not play a guiding role as we all expected.This research put the sketch as a unified whole to study, and the result is objective and realistic.
