The speeches in the Luzhou etc eight counties Sichuan province are special dialect area ,which are retaining the medieval ending tone tonal and very different from Chengdu and Beijing dialect. Luzhou etc eight counties dialects are part of the branch of the Minjiang area of southwestern Mandarin in Modern Chinese Dialects. So far, there is not very much comparative research achievement about the eight counties dialect. What's more, there are no articles or books which are published on the thematic of Luzhou etc eight counties.This paper consists of six aspects: The first part is the introduction of dialect research situation on the eight counties and document needed, and explains the object and time of the field investigation on these dialects. In the second part, it introduces the information of the geographical, the humanities, and the historical transformation on Luzhou, Luxian, Hejiang, NanXi, Changning, Gaoxian, Gongxian and Giang'an. The third part concludes the phonetic systems of the speeches of the eight counties, and describing the initial consonants, rhymes and tones. The fourth part makes synchronic comparison of the phonetic systems between the dialects of the eight counties and the Chengdu dialect which is the representative dialect of southwestern. The fifth part describes general features of the dialect of Luzhou etc eight counties. The sixth part contents administrative maps of the eight counties.This paper uses the methods of Chinese dialectology, diachronic and synchronic Linguistics to compare the phonetic systems between the dialects of the eight counties and the Chengdu dialect, thus further uncovers the allophones similarities and differences.
