Chinese works not only as a simple media in our daily life, but also the condensed body of culture which is long-lasting, abundant, numerous and super brilliant.Learners who take Chinese as a foreign language, should learn the unique language knowledge like grammar or structure as well as cultural essence which makes learning the language difficult due to the huge system and brilliant contents that long-lasting history gives to the language. Most learners in primary level has the feature of "double starting" both in language and culture. Therefore, it would get twice the result with half the effort if knowledge of language such as pronunciation, lexicon, patterns can be learned as well as communication and knowledge culture informations differently and periodcally, and if the teacher focuses,riches blends different factors periodically.In the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,teachers who are in the leading position of class, should take the essence of Chinese culture seriously, and also have a good understanding toward the nature of language learners'purpose--to communicate.Therefore, there would be a positive effect for the Chinese learner if Chinese culture is taught distinguishedly as knowledge culture information and communication culture information, and also in different methods of teaching.The idea of this article comes from problems encountered during teaching.And then the writer read a good amount of previous researches on teaching Chinese as a foreign language, such as culture teaching, teaching principle and so on. As the above works as the basis of this research, cultural factors of several Chinese textbooks is classified and analyzed as "knowledge culture" and "communication culture" according to Zhang zhanyi's basic standards generally, then it is further classified into specific categories by comprehensive standards of many other scholars. The thorough classification above helps to summarize the common cultural factors involved in these textbooks and to reach a conclusion as the approximate scope and requirements primary level learners need to grasp, as well as the differences between presentation and exercises of the same factors. After that, a questionair towards students on and off class is done to anlyze the culture study effect and interests which arrives at features of their culure study:better effect in class than self study,rich interest in culture,particial problems on specific cultural areas, class being the main get-to-know path of culture factors and an average awareness on cross cultural communication, etc.Later, cultural teaching strategies adepted to students in primary level is acheived with the efforts above together with analysis on problems of teaching practice.Finally, a conclusion of easibility on teaching Chinese as a foreign language teachers is arrived as the requirements to teachers and level-based cultrual teaching focus.
