The communication culture is a culture that can directly affect the transmission of information accurately in intercultural communication. For foreign students, it is necessary to understand the Chinese communication culture in order to master the Chinese language. For Chinese teachers, in order to cultivate students' ability of communicating in Chinese, we had better emphasize the teaching of communication culture. Therefore, the selection and arrangement of the communication culture in Chinese textbooks is worthy of discussion.This paper is divided into five chapters; the first chapter is the introduction, which introduces the relationship between language and culture, the definition and classification of communication culture. It summarizes the research on the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and the cultural content of Chinese textbooks. The fifth chapter is the summary, which summarizes the substance of this paper, and puts forward the innovation and shortcomings of the paper. The second, third and fourth chapters are the main part of this article.The second chapter first introduces the two primary Chinese textbooks-INTEGRATED CHINESE and DEVELOPING CHINESE, and explains the reason why selecting these two Chinese textbooks. Then, on the base of the classification of communication culture in chapter one, the communication culture of the two Chinese textbooks is statistically analyzed, and the data are analyzed in detail from the aspects of occurrence rate and demonstration methods.The third chapter compares the selection, the arrangement and the demonstration methods of communication culture in the two Chinese textbooks. First of all, compare the content of communication culture under the same topic and analyze five specific topics; then comparatively analyze the occurrence rate from three aspects— pragmatic culture, semantic culture and non-verbal communication culture; then compare the demonstration methods and analyze the causes of differences.The fourth chapter evaluates the merits and shortcomings of the two Chinese textbooks on the arrangement of communication culture, and puts forward some suggestions on the selection and arrangement of the communication culture of the primary Chinese textbooks: strengthen the relevance of the communicative culture, pay attention to the evolution of communication culture, vary the demonstration methods of communication culture, and rationally distribute all kinds of communication culture.
