In general, the marketing models of Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturers are including national total distribution model, regional agency model and pharmaceutical enterprise's specific sales model. The current legal systems which regulate marketing activities are mainly focused on central bid inviting of Pharmaceuticals and essential drug system, etc; there are many problems existed in those marketing models and their regulation of behavior patterns are need to be solved and improved. The root causes of these problems are due to excessive intermediate links in the pharmaceutical distribution, therefore, minimized the intermediate links of China's pharmaceutical distribution, exploit and develop the direct sales market, and establish relevant supporting legal system are necessary. Direct selling is a marketing strategy that directs sellers sell products directly to end consumers outside of fixed place of business, it divided into single-level direct selling and multi-level direct selling. Our legislation only regulates direct single-level direct selling nowadays. In 2005, "direct selling regulations" and "Prohibition of Pyramid Selling Regulations" have been enacted and implemented, they played a key role of Chinese direct selling legislation, but these two regulations are not perfect enough, there are still many problems in the implementation. Pharmaceutical has just involved in the field of direct marketing in China, although the establishment of pharmaceutical price reduction system and the fair price spread system influenced a bit of activities in regulating medical market, the pharmaceutical development and improvement of Chinese pharmaceutical direct marketing system is still has a long way to go. First of all, the establishment and development of pharmaceutical direct marketing must be built upon pharmaceutical security, standardization of pharmaceutical distribution chain, and powerful regulation and policy. In the future, the establish and perfect direct selling market can be considered from several aspects:It should combines the traditional pharmaceutical marketing model and direct selling model, to give new rights and duties of traditional pharmaceutical distribution; In addition, it should provides legal protection of development of chain pharmacies stores and pharmaceutical e-commerce platform; Finally, it should strengthen the supervision and management of pharmaceutical direct marketing.
