Research On The National Problem In Building A Harmonious Society

By analyzing the disintegration reasons of the Soviet Union and eastern European socialist countries, this article explains the extreme importance of the national problem for the multi-national socialist countries and the socialism. China is a multi-national socialist country, inevitably there are many national problems:A gap in economy is growing between the minority regions and developed areas; Under the socialist market economy, the national dispute of the economic rights and interests has increased; Since the reform and opening, the association of all ethnic groups increases frequently. For the short of mutual understanding, the gap, misunderstanding and conflict often occurs; Conflicts were caused by different religious beliefs and customs; Activities were caused by national hostile forces and international ethnic separatist etc. These national problems have a profound impact on building a harmonious society and solving the national problems has the vital meaning to build a harmonious society. How to solve these national problems? This article puts forward some constructive measures from the following aspects: politically, strengthening the regional national autonomy system; economically, increasing the ethnic and regional economic development; on culture, helping the minority areas develop education and culture. Meanwhile, we should dedicate to create an atmosphere of national unity and oppose ethnic separatism. In short, only adhering to the Marxist national viewpoint and implement the party's national policy, we can solve the national problem.
