Lenin thinks that the wars root in private ownership and class. As long as there is private ownership and class, the wars are inevitable. Modern wars also root in the private relationship between modern capitalism and imperialism. Wars are the continuation of politics, which should also include economic and political content. The role of the social history of wars determines the property of the wars. When the political goal of the wars has changed, the nature of wars will be transformed.Lenin points out that the wars must break out to re-segment colonies and regional hegemony allover the world. World War I is the competition for colonies. The war causes serious economic damage, workers, peasants and soldiers even form a union. Belligerent's defeat makes the rule of the bourgeoisie difficult to continue. All of these result in favorable situation of revolution. So, the proletarian party should launch a revolution timely. In his view, revolution is the only correct way to avoid the wars. The demise of the war and the goal of eliminating the private ownership is the same.Lenin believes that the socialist country must be surrounded by the capitalist countries. They try to invade and destroy the nascent Soviet regime. In face of intervention, the working class and farmers should consolidate domestic political and military alliance. The worker-peasant alliance can transport personnel and supplies to the frontier. Lenin also believes that we should also seek international support for allover the world, and call on the international workers in their own country to launch the proletarian revolution, or to carry out "Do not interfere in Russia" movement.Lenin's theory on against imperialist wars is very important and practical for modern society. Nowadays, in order to maintain the old world economic order and maintain the capitalist system, imperialism groups often launch wars. In the groups, there are also unequal interests and status. This is the potential factors to fight in the groups. Therefore, the motto of "imperialism is war," is not out of date. We must uphold internationalist policy to oppose the imperialist wars. When all the people oppose the war, we can truly stop the war.
