Our country's inheritance law provides that the men and women enjoy same rights of inheritance. However, in rural areas still practiced conventional inheritance instead of legal inheritance. Women's inheritance rights are poorly established. In recent years, the research about inheritance gradually become hotspot in many disciplines with the development of social economic level. Many scholars studied this topic in different scales such as history, law, sociology and so on.The problem of female inheritance aroused the attention of many scholars. They have carried out a thorough and systematic research. However, most of these studies belong to literature research, the empirical research is still rare. Meanwhile, few domestic scholars touched the problem of female inheritance, and with theoretical studies and suggestions in their articles. As a cultural phenomenon in human social life, conventional inheritance have different forms of expression in different notions and different areas. To conduct in-depth research, we need put it in a small cultural background. The main significance of this topic is to study about female inheritance problems from the unique perspective of anthropology, hoping to bring new ideas for domestic research.This study is a case study, the site is a natural village, LQW Village, Chaohu area. The main research method is depth interview and participant observation. Around the subject of female inheritance, the study involved a series of problems about marriage, family property division, funeral and so on. With these information, analyzed and explained the rural women inheritance of Chaohu area, try to reveal the deep reason women lack of inheritance.The article has six parts, the introduction mainly introduces the research motivation, research status, research significance as well as research methods, and also the definition of some conception. The first chapter gives a introduction of the natural geographical environment, economic conditions and social conditions. On this basis, this chapter introduces the basic situation of women in the village. The second chapter basically according to chronological order to describe the status of female inheritance from the marriage, family property division, funeral. The third chapter analyze the status of female inheritance, reveal the reason of lack female inheritance and the functional effect with the interview material. The fourth chapter analyze the change of female inheritance, and give some suggestions to this status.
