During the period of the Cultural Revolution, Mao Zedong's bourgeoisie concept has double meaning. On the one hand, it is the objective position which based on the production process; on the other hand, it is the"ideological and political consciousness"which based on subjective judgment. Specifically, Mao Zedong's bourgeoisie concept, during the period of the Cultural Revolution, can be illustrated into four areas: the bourgeoisie of economic level, the bourgeoisie of political level, the bourgeoisie of ideological style and the bourgeoisie of moral and ethical dimensions.Bourgeoisie not only exists in the objective area of social production, but also exists in the field of ideas and concepts. After the completion of socialist transformation, the struggle against the objective areas of economic bourgeoisie gained decisive victory, so the struggle point is bound to transform to the bourgeoisie of ideology and concept. Therefore, a great proletarian Cultural Revolution, which touches the people's soul, emerged as the times required. However, as there are no objective standards to judge the bourgeoisie of ideology and concept, the Cultural Revolution in the real practice had the performance of magnifying the scope of the class struggle.Mao Zedong's bourgeoisie concept has its specific historical background and deep theoretical origin. The formation of the bourgeoisie concept of Mao Zedong is related with the requirements of the practice of Chinese revolution and construction, with the development and the process of changes in domestic and international situation. Mao Zedong as a Marxist, his bourgeoisie concept was impacted by the class theory of Marxism-Leninism. The dialectical materialism and historical materialism provided theoretical support for Mao Zedong's bourgeoisie concept. In socialist society, especially in the socialist market economy society, how to regard the capital stratum is an important practical problem which has to consider. The actual situation of the primary stage of socialism determines the historical inevitability of the existence of the capital stratum. In condition of the socialist market economy, we should take the policy of constraint and take advantage of the capital stratum to promote the development of the socialist productive forces and to meet the people growing material and cultural needs.
