Study Of Status And Function Of Ideological And Political Education In Maintaining Social Stability In Western National Areas

This paper attempts to apply the ideological and political education theory to instructing to maintain social stability of minority areas in western china within the theoretical framework of the basic principles of Marxism. The paper points out that the current western minority areas are in the key period of development,reform and social transition. It is significant greatly to maintain social stability in western minority areas. There are still many factors that affect social stability. Ideological and political education plays its unique and active role in maintaining social stability.The paper is divided into four parts. The first part analyzes some main factors that affect social stability of minority areas and human ideology. Ideological and political education is on the basis of them. The second part illustrates the connections between Ideological and political education and social stability from the viewpoint of theory. It shows ideological and political education has functions in guide, integration, communication and crisis management. The paper presents that these functions will be extended to the field of social stability and plays an active role in maintaining it. The third part introduces some ideological and political ways of maintaining social stability. The paper shows the ways improving ideological and political education in maintaining social stability in western minority areas. The paper shows that ideological and political education should adopt modern psychological counseling method, longitudinal and transverse comparative education. It can strengthen the timelines and have the western people feel that the social stability is very important in economic and social development. The Ideological and political education plays a basic role in anti-corruption to reduce some factors that affect the social stability in western minority areas. The fourth part proposes to build the mechanism of keeping western minority areas stable. The paper argues that minority areas should promote the improvement of people's life, build perfect and harmonious social management system, strengthen flexible social control means and have the social mechanism keep western minority areas stable.
