The Development Of Regionalism And The Constructing Of Regional System

As for the process of regionalism development, many scholars have tried to explain and predict it from realism in power and interests, Neo-liberalism-Institutional cooperation concept, Constructivism and other theories, As international relations scholars said:"Today's international phenomenon is difficult to explain clearly with single theory. In this paper, based on the practice of regionalism development, using integrated theory to explain the basis, dynamic, structure and international significance of construction regional system.This paper includes five parts,the first part is an introduction,which generally introduce the background of the article topics, current study of regionalism, research significance, methods and innovation.In the second part,it mainly elaborates the historical evolution of regionalism and analyzes the relation between regionalism development and construction regional system from the theoretical point of view. First, explain the meaning of region, regional and regionalism. Second, discusses the development of Western Europe, Africa, Latin America, of Asian and other regions under the influence of the old regionalism and the developing trends of regional cooperation in the scope and extent to further deepen and constantly improve in the cooperation mechanism under the wave of new regionalism. Finally, analyze the legitimacy of constructing the regional system in the theoretical level.The third part analyses the power factors, features and impact on the national system of regional integration. According to the discussion in the second part, we can conclude that there are internal, external and potential power factors in the process of regional integration, performance differences,blocks, open and competitive characteristics, have a significant impact on international system unit itself and its behavior styles, international power structure, international social cultural and the governing mechanism of global problem and Non-traditional security. The forth part focuses on the factors of constructing regional system,which is divided into four parts,firstly, it introduces it based on geopolitical factors, deepening of economic integration and government's actively coordination. Secondly, the importance of national sovereignty, the importance of security to the nation-state, promoting by regional power and the profound impact of globalization are power factors. Finally analyze the structure of regional system,as is on the basis of economic integration and the guaranteement of regional political, military and security cooperation mechanisms and on the cohesion of cultural integration, regional awareness and regional identity formation.The fifth part discusses the evolution of the international system in East Asia and China's strategic choice. East Asian international system mainly experience China's tributary system, treaty system in the late 19th century, Japan led the"Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity sphere system", Cold War system and reconstruction East Asia order after the Cold War.
