The Protection Of Consumers' Safety Right In Electronic Commerce

As a new business model,E-commerce provides convenience and shortcut for consumers. On the other hand, it issues the challenge for safety right protection. Among all the rights that consumers have, consumers regard the protection of safety right as the most important content. Protecting safety right and enhancing consumers'confidence has become an important issue to promote healthy growth and positive development of E-commerce. According to"Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Consumers'Rights and Interests"and the particularity of e-commerce transactions. In E-commerce, consumers'safety right should includes consumers'personal information safety right, payment safety right, performance safety right and quality of goods safety right which relate to safety rights.The paper regards consumers'safety right protection under E-commerce environment as the research object. By referring laws and regulations, guiding principles and reasonable measures of other countries and district, the paper carries out studies and discussions on how to recognize and protect consumers'safety right. The author proposes to establish an impeccable system of consumers'safety right protection in E-commerce through setting up relevant legislative measures, building a comprehensive monitoring mechanism and improving relief system.
