In western modern political philosophy, John Rawls's philosophy is an important milestone. From the concept of justice, this paper aimed at researching the process of formation and development of the theory of justice. From the starting of social system which is the justice subject, Rawls clarified principles of distribution of the fundamental rights and obligations of citizens and focused on derivation of two principles of justice. From the social individual point of view, the principle of justice treats all kinds of social unfair phenomena by adjusting basic social system. In an original position of purely hypothetical, Rawls imitated that the rational individuals make the choice of principles of justice after reasonable inference In fact, this reason is discovered by reserving general knowledge of social theory among mutual indifferent parties and individual special information is covered with the veil of ignorance.
