A Study On Ideological And Political Education Of Farmers In Social Transition

China is a major agricultural country, with eighty percent of people living in countryside. Nowadays, a vast majority of rural areas are undergoing the impact of multi factors like globalization, industrialization and urbanization. With the transformation of rural society structure, traditional production methods and lifestyles have turned up some new features.Without the harmony of countryside, the harmony of the whole society can never be reached. At the critical juncture of rapid social transformation, it is of great importance to upgrade the moral standards of rural residents. As the transition of social pattern of rural area, the reformation of economic structure, and the convert of developmental pattern, some perceptions which are detrimental to the development of countryside are emerging. Meanwhile, their thinking and moral life are facing the diversified challenges and the peasants'own qualify cannot meet the requirements of globalization and the instruction of market economy. Under the intense pressure of profit situation, some unstable factors have appeared in rural society.In terms of these new situation, it is indispensable that enforcing and improving thinking and political education in rural areas effectively. During the new period of construction of every aspect, the education in rural areas should center on the theory which is based on human beings, and we should adjust the contents,format and methods of education according to the requirement of current situation. The establishment of decent index system is meaningful, because it can propel the practice of education in rural areas, and achieving a scientific assessment of its process and results. So that, the effect and meaning to educate peasants in thinking and politics can be deepened.
