"Soft power" of contemporary research in the field of international politics and a hot issue."Soft power" is "a by allowing others to do the things they want the ability to obtain the expected results", which is embodied in a country's "culture and values, social system, development model, lifestyle, ideology" of thein.By their very nature, "soft power" is a broad cultural category, a State Department therefore an important part of overall national strength .Proven to enhance a country's "soft power" will strengthen the country's comprehensive national strength, help maintain and protect national security, to realizing and promoting national interests. Since the end of the Cold War, China-ASEAN relations have achieved rapid development. At present, China-ASEAN relations have entered the best period in history. The rapid development of China-ASEAN relations is the result of various factors, of which a reasonable use of the ASEAN China its "soft power" diplomacy is very important to promote one of the factors. China to ASEAN's "soft power" diplomacy is mainly manifested in the following areas: take active measures to promote mutual political trust; active role in regional hot issues properly addressed and resolved; to promote mutual benefit and win-win economic relations with each other; to the cultural exchanges and cooperation and common prosperity; the big country big country style of responsibility and to strengthen ASEAN's solidarity and mutual assistance. Nevertheless, China-ASEAN "soft power" diplomacy to enhance still faces many challenges: China and the ASEAN countries in the social system, ideology and values on the remaining differences; "China threat" in the ASEAN still has some negative effects;historical issues of China-ASEAN relations there is a certain impediment; From time to time the South China Sea between China and ASEAN countries had an impact on the development of relations.
