As a special phenomenon, the media created by humanbeing, always stepping forward along with the progress which made by the human, and making a disregardful effect on the progress of human society. Nowadays, the development of modern technology supplies sorts of means and transmitting vector. And the tendency of the globalization expands the affection of the media. For example: Something happened in country A, may spread over the world immediately by sorts of ways like Broadcast, TV, Newspaper, Internet and Cell-phone and so on. The words there is no news on the world, shows perfectly now. Originally, as one way of communication, the media had characters as universality and equality. As time pass by, it became a privilege which belongs to few people and classes. The most important characters of it are instrumentality and subordinate.Modern Medias carry on the characters of instrumentality and subordinate, and strengthen the characters of universality and equality, because of the development of science and technology, and the economic as well as the closer relations of human beings. People also overlook the other characters of the media intently or unconsciously. Internet, standing for the new technology, broke down the limitation of words and made everyone show themselves freely.This text mainly researchs the political function of the media, especially the effect on our country's socialist political civilization.
